Ithaca

Ithaca might be known from Caltech's camp, most importantly known from Kostas Kavafis peom Ithaki. But, Ithaci is indeed an island, a perfect destination for your summer plans.

Our team this year, spent 5 days in Kioni in Ithaki. Few words about this lovely bay. First, the nature is unique. You can reach several small beaches with wonderful crystal waters. Since the main car roads are rather small, I would suggest you instead of walking. You can leave your car at Kioni's entrance. The walk is indeed worth it.

Now, regarding food, Kioni has mainly 4 restaurants. Kalipso's restaurant is with no doubts an exceptional place with fresh fish and Greek Varieties.

Kioni is rather quiet if you look for a night life. There are 2 bars, though, for getting a drink, where Spavento plays nice music.

To sum up, Kioni is lovely small village/bay that might remind you Agios Nikitas or Sivota in Lefkada. Ideal for those travelling with yachts.
