In the area of Tsilivi there are plenty taverns, bars, shops and restaurants. The beach proposes various water sports facilities.

Zakynthos

Let’s leave for a while from Lefkada and travel to the beautiful Zakynthos or Zante, another island of Ionian Sea.

It is known in Europe and worldwide, the “Fioro di Levante” (“flower of the Levant”).

You will arrive to the island by ferry boat from Kyllini at the Peloponnese, or from the island of Kefallonia. The island is also connected by plane with Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, and Preveza (Action) at the opposite coast of Epirus.

The considerable tourist development of the last few decades has endowed the island with amenities and facilities, which contrary to other places in Greece and elsewhere, do respect the natural environment and the history and tradition of the place.

Zakynthos is a place which covers everyone’s tastes with areas like the very busy town Laganas with its many taverns, bars and clubs, and quieter parts, better suited for families like Argassi.

The climate in Zakynthos is mild mediterranean with both heavy rainfall during the winter monthw and brilliant sunshine in the summer.

Regarding places to visit and more information about Zakynthos as well as buying a property in Zakynthos or Properties in Ionian Islands .

I will post more soon.

Beaches in Lefkada!

Beaches in Lefkada!

Some of the most famous beaches in Lefkada are:

Porto Katsiki

It is located on the south-western coast of Lefkada. It is is accessed from the car park via 347 steep steps that hug a rugged cliff face. The waters of Porto Katsiki are clear and crystal and the sunsets are frequently dreaming.

Kathisma

It is placed 14 km east away of Lefkada Town. Kathisma offers a long beach, white sand, and crystal clear waters. The sea becomes abruptly deep at some particular spots.

Egremni

It is 30 km south from the Lefkada Town. The long sandy beach is surrounded by impressive cliffs and clear waters and is only accessible via 250 steps away from the car park.

Gialos

It offers to the visitors crystal water, a beach with wild and imposing rocks, that will undoubtedly take your breath away with the blonde sand and the turquoise water.

Nidri

The beach of Nudri is short but very beutiful beach, with blue waters and pebbles.
The visitors can enjoy the beach bars across the beach which are full of life.

The sandy beaches with the crystal clear turquoise water and the dreaming sunsets compose an impressive scene, which constitutes an important reason to rent or buy a property in Lefkada! If you want to check some properties in Lefkada have a look here: Properties in Ionian Islands.

About Lefkada

Let’s start with Lefkada and the ways you can reach it!

There are three ways to arrive to Lefkada.

First by car: Lefkada is the only one that it has access by car, by using the floating bridge connecting the island with Akarnia. Visitors from Athens can arrive here by the Ktel bus or by using their car in 5 hours.

Second by sea: Daily, visitors can reach nearby islands. You can find daily boat services to Meganisi, Kefalonia, Ithaki from Nydri or Vassiliki.

Third by plane: The nearest International airport is in Aktion, only 18km far away from the capital of Lefkada. There are daily flights from Athens to Lefkada, direct flights from Crete and from North Greece. And finally, if you come from a foreign country there are several direct flights to the International airport of Aktion.

If you are looking to rent a house in Lefkada then you could get some advice from a touristic office operating at the main entrance of the island, just passing the bridge or to get some advice online.

Regarding buying a property in Lefkada or Properties in Ionian Islands I will post more soon.
